The E-mail Headache

Have you ever been faced with loads of e-mail from one
particular company? It builds and builds and you either
have not the time to read it all or it simply overwhelms you
just thinking about it?

If you are like most people, you simply highlight and delete
them all, hoping to get a handle on your e-mail account as
the next ones come in.

Two Schools of Thought on E-mail

What is enough and what is too much? That is a decision you
need to make in that respect. BUT what you do with them
might need another consideration.

1. You joined this great company and you really want to be
able to work it to make the income it suggests you can if you
duplicate the actions of your leader.

2. You are relatively new so you try extra hard but it is all
too much for your level of expertise.

Here is the predicament. Some leaders drown you in extra
e-mail. They simply repeat the main mail sent and that
leaves you with too much mail in your inbox.

But other leaders, know what you are going through and they
develop teaching mail that will help you sort it out. They will
offer contact methods and extra time they are willing to spend
showing you how to overcome the speedbumps that are
holding you back.

Now if your habit is to hit the delete key on all of them until
you have the time then you lose double time. Now you are
way behind the company growth plan and you have no idea
how to catch up. You have lost your momentum and you
are finding this new program a headache. You suddenly
hate it.

The Solution - Use Your Desktop

The desktop is really great working space untill all your
mail is safely moved and you can save it to the right drive
where it will be easily accessible and safe if OE happens to
go down or is corrupted and needs reinstalling.

Create working named folders to drag and drop all this real
time mail you need to get at. If one set of mail comes from
the owner, then so name that folder and drag and drop their
mail into it. If the other mail comes from your team leader
or your sponsor then so name that folder and drag and drop
their mail into that folder.

Once that is done, you can delete the originals from your
mail account. As you begin to progress through learning
about your new company and need that missing piece of
information, you only need check the appropriate folder and
you have that information right where and when you need
it.

Oh and do connect with your sponsor and your team leader.
These people have been where you are going now. They are
there to make sure you enjoy your learning phase. Why not
be extra smart and wise in your use of such a great resource?
Make that received mail work for both of you.
